Beach Water Warning
1/9/25 The city of Milford informed us that our Beach water tested Positive for Bacteria.
After the recent cleaning of our drainage pipes, which have not been cleaned in 40 years, the bacteria count was reduced significantly but is still above minimal thresholds. The source of the bacteria is currently unknown, but public works continues to work on identifying the cause.
They will complete cleaning of the drainage points and then retest. For those of you on Seaview Avenue, you will be given a packet of dye next week to place in your toilet tank. This is an additional test to ensure the pipes are working properly.

We were assured there is no public health risk at this time. It was suggested NOT to swim, go clamming or play with dogs in the Sound until the counts are down and the cause is known and remediated.

We appreciate your cooperation and will update you as we learn more.

The City of Milford is still working on finding the cause of the bacteria. They continue to do extensive testing. At this time they will not be giving dye kits to the residents on Seaview Avenue. They may do that at a later date.
We appreciate your patience and will continue to update you as we receive more information.
